In relation to this letter, I wish to state the following:

WITH regard to the controversy surrounding the Oliver Tambo Award for the late fascist dictator Forbes Burnham, the racially humiliating experience of Indians, Whites, Amerindians and Chinese under Burnhamism is enough reason to disqualify him for the prestigious honour.

THE Demerara Waves online news site on Thursday May 2, 2013 reported that President of the Guyana Press Association, Gordon Moseley, in his address during a function held by the U.S Embassy to mark World Press Freedom Day described the awarding of licences by the administration of former President Bharrat Jagdeo as “unfair and surreptitious.”
