I wish to refer to a letter in the Guyana Times under the caption, “GFC responds to Janette Bulkan” in its issue of Wednesday May 8, 2013 written by James Singh.
In relation to this letter, I wish to state the following:
1. Congratulations to Mr. James Singh, the Commissioner of Forests for his professional and adequate response to Janette Bulkan’s Letter in the Kaieteur news of May 7, 2013 under the caption,

WITH regard to the controversy surrounding the Oliver Tambo Award for the late fascist dictator Forbes Burnham, the racially humiliating experience of Indians, Whites, Amerindians and Chinese under Burnhamism is enough reason to disqualify him for the prestigious honour.

THE Demerara Waves online news site on Thursday May 2, 2013 reported that President of the Guyana Press Association, Gordon Moseley, in his address during a function held by the U.S Embassy to mark World Press Freedom Day described the awarding of licences by the administration of former President Bharrat Jagdeo as “unfair and surreptitious.” 

THE Stabroek Business article published May 10, 2013 under the caption, “PSC, Georgetown Chambers at odds over seawall lime ban” reveals a mindset of the (GCCI) President Clinton Urling that is very troubling.
