| Two bus conductors fined $20,000 for overloading |

Mini bus conductors Keon James and Nobert Bancroft were each fined $20,000 for carrying more persons than is permitted.
According to the police the two men, who appeared on Friday before Magistrate Ann Mc Lenon at the Wales Magistrates’ court committed the offence on separate days within the West Demerara Magisterial District. Magistrate Mc Lenon ordered that the fine be paid within one week, failing which the defendants would be sent to prison for two months. |
