I AM 22, in a relationship with a man 21. We've been dating a year-and-a-half, and I am over it; I'm ready to throw in the towel. The whole time we dated, we've lived together. Big mistake!
He is my first live-in boyfriend; I am his first live-in girlfriend. His friends are constantly at our house, from the time we get off work until late at night. I've asked if he would cut the friend visits to a minimum, and I've asked for more time together, and more time out of our home. A whole year I asked for things to change. Two months ago, my feelings started to change. Recently, I sat him down and explained that when our lease is up, I plan on moving out. Now he makes an effort to go places and do things, but I feel it is too late. My feelings are no longer the same, and I would honestly like to be on my own again. What should I do, or am I just being a butthead? Cindy Cindy, Intuitively, we all know the difference between love and what isn't love. The hard part is acknowledging it. You're not a butthead; you're a woman with the courage to face an unpleasant reality. Wayne & Tamara |
