Sattaur, yesterday, tendered his resignation as CEO of NCN after an audit confirmed financial irregularities within the state-owned television company. The ‘irregularities’ were brought to light after the Board of Directors of NCN last month launched an investigation into the entity’s operation, after Sattaur presented a proposal which sought to recover the Gy$140M subsidy slashed from the 2012 budget. Sattaur came under the microscope after he publicly declared during the budget season that the company raked in some Gy$500M from advertisements in 2011. |
