THE Guyana Legion will host a ‘Takeaway’ lunch on CARICOM Day, next Monday,  at its spacious Coghlan House headquarters auditorium and lawn on  Carifesta Avenue, Georgetown. It will be another in a series of fundraisers scheduled for this year by the umbrella organisation of veterans of two World Wars.
The meal will be served from 12:00 hrs, and patrons would be entertained as well to music by a popular sound system.
The Guyana Legion, sometimes referred to as ‘The Legionnaires’, is the oldest local grouping of ex-servicemen that includes women, and caters to some of their needs through handouts and other charitable initiatives.
