| Robbery under arms accused on $50,000 bail |

MICHAEL Taylor, of Beterverwagting, appeared before Magistrate Alex Moore at Sparendaam Court, on a robbery under arms charge yesterday.
Particulars of the indictable offence said, last May 30, at Vryheid’s Lust, also on East Coast Demerara, being armed with a knife, he robbed Karen George Johnson of her handbag containing cash and other valuables with a total value of $141,000. With attorney-at-law Ms. Sonia Parag for the Defence and Police Sergeant Bernard Browne, prosecuting, the accused was granted $50,000 bail, pending his return to court on July 20, for report. |
