SHAWN Smith, 38, of Lot 134 South Ruimveldt Park, Georgetown, appeared in court yesterday, charged with simple larceny.
He pleaded not guilty, before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, to having, on June 15, stolen a chainsaw valued $230,000, property of Terrence Bowery. Police Sergeant Philip Sheriff, prosecuting, had no objection to bail but requested that the bail be substantial and the magistrate set it at $200,000 bail, until July 6. |
