FAZIA Khan (no address given) yesterday pleaded not guilty before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry to a charge of making a false declaration. Particulars of the charge stated that, on September 22, 2011, at the Central Immigration and Passport Office, for the purpose of procuring a passport, she signed to a declaration form stating that she was Whariesha Dias, knowing same to be false. Attorney-at-law Rexford Jackson represented the defendant and requested reasonable bail. The prosecution had no objection to bail, which was granted in the sum of $75,000. The matter will be called again on April 23. |
