MASSIVE work on a 22-mile stretch of road in the Black Bush Polder area is underway by BK International, with an estimated completion by mid-year. For years the road has been a bugbear for residents in the area and Region Six (East Berbice/ Corentyne) Chairman, Mr. Zulphikar Mustapha, told the Guyana Chronicle that the works are being done at a cost of US$6M, which will see residents with a new concrete, asphalted road.
