Reputed husband charged with assaulting Petal De Santos PDF Print E-mail

TROY Douglas, 33, of Lot 16 Howes Street, Charlestown, has been charged with assaulting his reputed wife, Evening News presenter Petal DeSantos.

The defendant appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle yesterday and pleaded not guilty to the May 10 offence, particulars of which said he unlawfully assaulted DeSantos so as to cause her actual bodily harm.

The virtual complainant told the Court she suffered several scratch wounds on her neck and was butted on the head.

Douglas said the incident arose over the victim’s ex-lover.
The defendant was put on $30,000 bail until June 1.
